Summary
Ryuu is a twenty-six-year-old bartender and proprietor whose intuitive understanding of patrons' thoughts, feelings, and desires makes him the ultimate mixologist. His innate ability to discern exactly what a customer wants or needs to drink is complemented by his kind and honest demeanor. Although he appears to run his establishment, Eden Hall, entirely on his own, he previously served as an assistant to a senior bartender, gaining the extensive experience necessary to manage his venue. Eden Hall was actually his first bar, and it serves as a comforting haven where he helps those who enter, often displaying a brave and sincere effort to assist customers who are fretting or disturbed. Ryuu is highly skilled, capable of handling all sorts of spirits and knowledgeable about the history of the drinks he serves. He is particularly famous for offering the "Glass of the Gods," a special menu item that turns Eden Hall into a pleasurable venue for those seeking their heart's desire. Despite his near-flawless reputation, it was revealed in episode 9 that he once made a mistake by serving an incorrect cocktail. This error involved his first customer, who had requested a different drink after the initial service. To atone for this incident, Ryuu has dedicated the anniversary of that specific night every year since opening Eden Hall to serving that particular man. Throughout the series, he maintains his composure while providing support to the diverse array of people who visit his bar.
