Summary
Top Speed is a magical girl who serves as Ripple's mentor. Her relaxed demeanor, casual way of speaking, and excessively friendly nature frequently annoy Ripple. Although Ripple was initially slated to be mentored by Calamity Mary, Top Speed, being Mary's former student, chose to take on the role instead to prevent Ripple from enduring the same mistreatment that Top Speed herself had suffered. Her magical girl attire features a witch's hat, a gauntlet, a lucky charm worn around her neck, and a cape bearing the inscription "No Gratuitous Opinions" on the back. She possesses the ability to fly at high speeds on her broomstick, Rapid Swallow. In the novel adaptation, Top Speed has blonde hair and a striped cape, whereas in the anime, her hair is orange and her cape is plain.
