Summary
At the start of the story, Yamada is a 21-year-old pottery specialist standing 165 cm tall. She is a well-known figure among her peers at art college, with her attractive appearance also drawing the interest of male colleagues in the shopping district where she works. Her bond with Hagu is exceptionally close, resembling that of siblings. While Hagu refers to the three young men by their surnames, she uses Yamada’s first name, and Yamada treats Hagu with the protective care one might show a younger sister, even offering to stay with her while Shuji is away. She also shares a close friendship with Takemoto and Morita, though this relationship is less prominent than her dynamic with Hagu. Yamada harbors deep romantic feelings for her friend Mayama. However, he does not reciprocate her love, questioning why she is drawn to him and encouraging her to seek out someone else.
