Summary
Hao’s most devoted follower, Opacho was a starving infant in South Africa when Hao discovered her. Although the English dub of the anime refers to Opacho as male, she is female in the manga. Raised by Hao, she accompanies him almost constantly, serving as a confidante for his schemes and his thoughts regarding Yoh and his power. Opacho possesses potent but somewhat unpolished spiritual abilities, including clairvoyance and the projection of illusions. In the manga, she also demonstrates mind-reading capabilities. As a member of Hao’s Hoshigumi team during the Shaman Tournament, her specific offensive strength remains unknown. Despite her unwavering loyalty, Opacho realizes near the end of the anime that Hao has become corrupted after acquiring the Great Spirit's Power and abandons him. Her final appearance in the anime is in episode 64, where she watches the destiny star pass by. She is among the few Hoshigumi members to survive, and her spirit companion is named Mama.
