Alexander Anderson is a human Regenerator who serves as a priest for the Vatican’s Iscariot branch, where he works as a vampire purifier and slayer. Although he canonically has an unknown nationality, he is portrayed as Scottish in the English dub of the anime and OVA. He resides in Italy, running an orphanage just outside Vatican City. Physically, he appears to be in his forties or fifties, though his actual age is unknown. Anderson acts as a foil to Alucard, functioning as both an antagonist and a type of anti-villain within the series, while also serving as Alucard’s arch-rival.
