Summary

Genma Shiranui is a male Special Jonin from Konohagakure, known for his signature senbon which he keeps in his mouth and utilizes as a lethal projectile capable of reaching sixty miles per hour or deflecting incoming attacks. The name Shiranui translates to phosphorescent light. During the Chunin Exams, he stepped in as an examiner following the death of Hayate Gekkou. When the invasion of Konoha commenced, Genma engaged Baki off-screen, likely resulting in a stalemate as both emerged relatively unharmed. Later, he partnered with Raido Namiashi to confront the Sound Four, forcing them to activate the second stage of their cursed seals to secure victory; the Sound Four themselves admitted that without that power-up, Genma and Raido would have defeated them. Historically, Genma served as one of Minato’s personal bodyguards alongside Raidou and Iwashi. In the ninja war arc, the trio employed the Flying Thunder God technique to transport Mei to the main battlefield before Genma continued his pursuit of Lord Mu in the desert. He was previously a member of a three-man squad led by Chouza Akamichi, alongside Maito Guy and Ebisu. Genma boasts an extensive mission record totaling 935 assignments, including 185 D-rank, 220 C-rank, 454 B-rank, 74 A-rank, and 2 S-rank missions. His favorite food is pumpkin broth, while he dislikes spinach, and he enjoys traveling. His personal motto is "No words, but action."
