Summary
Sawamura, alongside Kirishima and Okubo, serves as one of Kazuma Kuwabara’s loyal lackeys. While Kirishima secured ninth place in the first character popularity poll with 219 votes, Okubo is defined by his responsibility to support his household, which struggles financially due to his mother’s frequent illnesses. The trio accompanies Kuwabara to the Megallica concert during the Chapter Black Saga. On their journey home, they fall victim to an ambush by Kiyoshi Mitarai, also known as Seaman, and are nearly drowned inside one of his water-based monsters. Kuwabara intervenes to save them, subsequently carrying both the three boys and Mitarai on his back to Yusuke Urameshi’s apartment before collapsing from exhaustion. Once they recount the incident to Kurama, the detective chooses to erase their memories of the event to spare them the burden of the experience, sending them home afterward.
