Summary
Sara Mudou is the younger sister of Setsuna Mudo and serves as the reincarnation of Gabriel, the former Great Cherub and one of the Four Elemental Angels. Originally the Angel of Water, Gabriel stood against the violent policies of Prime Minister Sevotharte. In response, Sevotharte paralyzed her with a needle and sent her soul to Earth, intending for her to unknowingly act as Setsuna's guardian angel. Upon her death, Sara's soul was drawn to heaven by Zaphikel to analyze its unique spiritual signature. Metatron subsequently extracted the needle from Gabriel's neck, allowing Sara's soul to awaken within it. Initially blind, she retained her sight only after utilizing Gabriel's water powers to aid Raphael in reviving Setsuna. Deeply in love with Setsuna, Sara had her soul returned to her original body by Raphael, who professed his love for her. However, this was a deception; Raphael used the connection to realize his true affection lay with someone closer to him. Despite possessing a pure and innocent heart, Sara is characterized by a fierce temper and a sharp tongue.
