Momochi, Zabuza
Summary
Zabuza Momochi hails from Kirigakure, where he gained infamy as the "Demon of the Hidden Mist" by massacring every fellow graduate during a ritualistic competition, effectively ending the tradition. He later joined the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen of the Mist, obtaining his signature zanbatō, and served within the Kirigakure ANBU. During this period, he encountered a young Haku wandering the countryside and took him in as a tool; Haku accepted, pledging his loyalty and training to protect Zabuza. Zabuza eventually orchestrated a failed coup d'état against the Mizukage in the Land of Water, which forced him and his subordinates into exile. To fund a second attempt, he turned to mercenary work, accepting assassination contracts for the right price. A master of water-oriented jutsu, Zabuza employs several techniques exclusive to him. He utilizes Water Release: Water Dragon Blast Technique (Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu) to shape surrounding water into a dragon for attack, and Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique (Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu) to unleash a massive spiraling vortex of water. Beyond offense, he is a lethal assassin who uses Hiding Mist Technique (Kirigakure no Jutsu) to obscure vision, allowing him to locate targets by sound based on his ANBU training. Once he has pinpointed his prey, he employs Silent Homicide Technique (Muon Satsujin Jutsu) to eliminate them without detection, a reputation well-known even among the ninja of Konohagakure.
