Shiro
Summary
Shiro is a male Akita Inu characterized by his white fur. He holds the status of a legendary bear-dog and serves as the father of Riki and the grandfather of Gin. For more than a year, he and his master Gohei hunted and killed numerous large bears. His demise is briefly depicted in the Ginga Nagareboshi Gin anime, though he is only mentioned in passing. In contrast, the manga Ginga Densetsu Riki provides a detailed account of his final battle. During this confrontation, Shiro fought against Akakabuto and made the ultimate sacrifice by pushing both himself and his opponent off a cliff. This heroic act ensured the survival of both Gohei and Riki. As his final words, he urged his son to train harder and to look after his master. Currently, no voice actors have been assigned to this character.
