Saburouta
Summary
Saburouta appears in episode 20 as a man who claims to be courageous and seeks to kill the demon Nue. In reality, he is a coward who submitted to the beast after being terrified by seeing people’s bodies devoured. From that point on, he assists the creatures in luring travelers into their territory to be eaten. In the original manga, Saburouta is quite different, aiming to join a samurai faction in the war. He decides that Daigo’s side is stronger and joins them, where he meets and teams up with the horse Midoro.
