Summary
Habolg is a renowned Black Whistle who delivered Lyza’s White Whistle and her final messages to the surface, earning the affectionate nickname Habo-san from Riko and her friends. After Riko and Regu escaped the orphanage to delve into the Abyss alone, Habolg was among the delvers dispatched to track them down. He quickly caught up to the pair, though he initially paid respects to Regu as the Supreme Treasure of the Netherworld, a gesture encouraged by Nat and Shiggy. Rather than returning them to Orth, Habolg offered to escort the children to the Seeker Camp. During this time, he warned Riko about Ozen and provided them with medicine and supplies before allowing them to continue their journey. Although Habolg does not interact directly with Riko and Regu again, he remains visible on the surface, sharing tales of the Abyss and its inhabitants with Nat and Shiggy, thereby foreshadowing the perils the two young delvers will encounter.
