Summary
Riou, known as Leo in certain manga translations, serves as a primary antagonist during the first half of the Faudo Arc alongside his partner, Banikis Gigo. He wields Beast Magic, a power set that resembles the animal-themed final spells employed by many Mamodo. Additionally, Riou possesses the ability to curse humans, inflicting weakness that ultimately leads to death. This affliction has been inherited through his family for generations, though its origins remain a mystery. The only way to lift the curse is through Riou's direct intervention, yet casting it places significant strain on his own body, particularly when affecting multiple targets simultaneously. He exploits this power to coerce Mamodo bookkeepers, including Nicole, Ellie, Alishie, and Li-en, into assisting him in breaking Faudo's seal under the threat of death if they refuse.
