Summary
Born on February 20, Jin Zixuan was the only legitimate child of Jin Guangshan and eventually became the husband of Jiang Yanli and father of Jin Ling. Exceptionally intelligent and handsome, his high status often fueled a well-known arrogance. In his youth, he resented the engagement his mother arranged with Jiang Yanli, viewing her as inferior in both appearance and cultivation. Despite this superficiality, he demonstrated bravery and honor during his teenage years, notably standing alongside Lan Wangji in the cave of the Tortoise of Slaughter to protect Mianmian from Wen Chao’s order to use her as bloody bait, an act that resulted in severe consequences. Following the Sunshot Campaign, Jin Zixuan appears to have matured, developing genuine love for Jiang Yanli despite his earlier scorn. His romantic insecurity is evident in his habit of hiring writers to draft confessions to her before he can publicly express his own feelings.
