Yahiko

Summary

Born on February 20 with type O blood, Yahiko was a shinobi from Amegakure and a key member of the Ame Orphans. He first appeared in Naruto Shippūden Episode 128 and Chapter 372 of the manga. Alongside Nagato and Konan, Yahiko was a student of Jiraiya. Orphaned during the Second Shinobi World War, he initially survived by stealing food until he met Konan. The pair later took in Nagato and his dog, Chibi, despite Yahiko’s initial reluctance to share his resources. Driven by anger at the world's injustice, Yahiko declared his intention to become a god to end the conflict. The trio eventually met Jiraiya, who taught them basic ninjutsu after Nagato saved Yahiko from an Iwagakure chūnin. This experience solidified Yahiko's vow to protect his friends and his village. After Jiraiya left, Yahiko and his friends gained a reputation as talented shinobi, gathering supporters who shared their dream of creating a peaceful world. Yahiko’s personality mirrored Naruto’s in his determination and refusal to give up. He held a strong "eye for an eye" philosophy and was deeply defensive of Amegakure, viewing the endless rain as tears he sought to stop. He aimed to become the world's ruler to eliminate war. As the de facto leader of the Ame Orphans, Yahiko approached Jiraiya for training and acted as an older brother to Nagato and Konan, urging Nagato to be strong despite his own emotional reaction to Jiraiya’s departure. He possessed faith in Nagato’s potential and wished to grow stronger to protect his companions. His known jutsu included Water Release: Violent Water Wave, which allowed him to shoot a jet of water from his mouth.
