Sakamachi, Kinjirou
Summary
Kinjirou Sakamachi, a second-year high school student, serves as the story's protagonist. He suffers from severe gynophobia, a condition where his nose bleeds whenever a girl touches him. He explains that this reflex developed over ten years of his mother and sister, Kureha Sakamachi, practicing wrestling moves on him daily. He believed that bleeding would stop the beatings because the blood would ruin the carpet. This harsh upbringing has also allowed him to endure significant pain. After discovering Subaru Konoe's secret, he is forced to sign a contract with Kanade Suzutsuki to keep the secret and find a cure for his condition. He dislikes being called by his full name, Sakamachi Kinjirou, due to a pun on the English word for chicken. In the final volumes of the light novels, Kanade, Konoe, and Masamune all confess to him separately. The three live as neighbors, with Kanade and Konoe sharing an apartment and Masamune and Jirou living next door. The girls set a time limit to decide who is the most suitable candidate to cure his gynophobia. Jirou decides to propose to Konoe and simultaneously offers to become Kanade's butler. The story ends with Jirou living as Kanade's butler and Konoe's fiancé.
