Shibuimaru, Takuo
- Gender
- Male
Summary
Takuo Shibuimaru holds the unfortunate distinction of being the second individual whose life is claimed by Light Yagami through the use of the Death Note. He is depicted as a biker who rides a motorcycle alongside a crew of fellow riders. His storyline begins when he harasses a woman walking in the street. After Light learns Shibuimaru’s identity and witnesses him pursuing the woman, he records the name in every possible variation and specifies the cause of death as a traffic accident. Consequently, a truck collides with Shibuimaru’s motorcycle, resulting in his demise. The narrative differs slightly between adaptations: in the manga, Shibuimaru and his associates merely harass the woman, whereas in the anime, their actions escalate to an attempted sexual assault. Furthermore, the manga portrays Light as experiencing a sense of guilt over the killing, noting that Shibuimaru was not a criminal.
