Joy Boy was a man from the Great Kingdom who lived 900 years ago at the dawn of the Void Century and holds the distinction of being the first pirate in history. As an extremely significant figure within the Void Century, he played a pivotal role in the history of Fish-Man Island. He left behind an item of unimaginable value on the final island of the Grand Line, an act that cemented his status as a legendary figure remembered throughout the world. His existence was first brought to light when Nico Robin read a Poneglyph located in the Sea Forest.
