Summary
Hana Hatsuno is a childhood friend and secret crush of Mamoru Amami, whose cousin Ayame frequently drags her into perilous situations. Unaware of Mamoru’s role in the Zonder invasion until Intestine Primeval captures her and other children to use as robo material, she witnesses Mamoru in his Latio form upon their rescue aboard the StealthGao II. Although Mamoru does not know she saw him, she keeps the secret until the final battle with the Z-Master, when she admits she initially thought he had been replaced by an alien. Relieved to learn he is the same person she has always known, she becomes his staunch supporter, prompting the other children to declare that they should marry. During the fight against the New Machine Species Zonuda, she discloses Mamoru’s true identity to the group. In the epilogue, she bids him farewell in a wedding dress, sharing a kiss before he departs with Galeon. In King of Braves GaoGaiGar FINAL, the story opens with Hana walking Yosef’s puppies when she discovers Ikumi Kaidou (Arma) fighting Repli-Mamoru. After the battle destroys the harbor but leaves Hana and her dogs unharmed, she takes the unconscious Kaidou home and interrogates him about Mamoru’s whereabouts. As the conflict in the Trinary Solar System escalates, her perspective highlights the worsening conditions on Earth. Despite the devastation, Hana remains resolved to see Mamoru again. In the finale, her wish is granted as she stands beside Mamoru and Kaidou before the memorial for missing GGG members. She also sings the first verse of Someday in the Sea of Stars: Character Version during this scene. Throughout the television series, Hana has a habit of being knocked unconscious and compulsively repeats "I'm not scared" during times of stress, a coping mechanism originally taught to her by Mamoru.
