Shimamura, Hougetsu
Summary
Shimamura Hougetsu is a high school student whose life changed when she crossed paths with Adachi. In the original narrative, their first encounter occurred when Adachi stumbled upon her on the second floor of the school gym while she was skipping class, sparking an immediate bond that led them to spend considerable time together. However, in both manga adaptations of the story, this dynamic is reversed, depicting Shimamura as the one who accidentally discovered Adachi in the gym during their initial meeting. Personality-wise, Shimamura is somewhat of an airhead with a profound love for sleeping, capable of napping for as long as she desires. Unlike Adachi, she maintains a positive relationship with her family, which contributes to her being significantly more sociable. Despite this outward friendliness, she does not view herself as particularly kind. She often perceives her connection with Adachi through the lens of an older sister or a maternal figure and takes pleasure in frequently teasing her companion.
