Summary
Yunoshin Mizuno makes his debut at nineteen years old, during the year 1716, as the offspring of a hakamoto, which denotes a high-ranking samurai. He harbors deep affection for Nobu, the daughter of a merchant, but because their romance is fraught with tragedy, he ultimately chooses to serve as a page within the Inner Chambers.
