Summary
Mary, a modified human affiliated with the Union, first appears in Chapter 30 as a member of the Assassination Squad alongside Jake. As one of the earliest antagonists and the first female experiment revealed in the series, she is among the most powerful and highly ranked creations of Dr. Crombel. Her unit consists solely of herself and Jake, with hints suggesting Mary holds a superior rank and commanding authority due to her greater strength compared to her partner. Despite her quiet demeanor and emotional detachment, which often irritates Jake, Mary is highly intelligent and fiercely loyal to Dr. Crombel. Her cold and cruel personality drives her to execute missions with strict precision. Her death shocks the entire Union, including the DA-5 members, who struggle to accept that she could be killed. Mary possesses the ability to transform her arms, granting her immense speed and strength in this state. Jake’s fear of her and his vow to defeat her and Dr. Crombel once he grows stronger further attest to Mary's overwhelming power.
