Morpheus, Modeler
Summary
Morpheus, known as the Modeler, is the fourth son of Hypnos and serves as the deity responsible for manipulating the dreams of heroes and monarchs. He played a pivotal role in the Pegasus Saint saga by capturing Tenma within the dream world, effectively trapping the Pegasus Saint in a reality indistinguishable from sleep. To maintain this hold, Morpheus employed the Poppies of the Dream World to infiltrate Tenma’s mind, targeting his conscience, dreams, and hopes. As these poppies gradually lost their color, Tenma’s memories of reality began to fade. In the anime adaptation, this specific technique was renamed Morphium Coma. The situation was altered when Athena intervened, allowing Tenma to break free from the influence of the poppies. Tenma then engaged Morpheus in combat and imprisoned him once more. However, Morpheus was ultimately slain when Tenma briefly accessed the Big Will, a feat that temporarily awakened the Pegasus God Cloth.
