Summary
Shiba served as a Chūnin from Kusagakure and acted as a personal bodyguard for the Grass Daimyō alongside Midori during the Chūnin Exams. Their secret mission involved ensuring that Gaara lost to Sasuke Uchiha so that their employer could win a wager against another daimyō. Gaara reacted with fury to this manipulation and killed both Shiba and Midori, an act that inadvertently spared Naruto and Shikamaru from suffering the same brutal fate.
