Summary
West Kai, whose title translates to the West King of the Worlds, serves as the sovereign of the West Galaxy and maintains a longstanding personal rivalry with North Kai. Standing at only half the height of his counterpart, he distinguishes himself as the sole Kai who wears a blue monocle rather than sunglasses. His demeanor is characterized by arrogance, rudeness, and a tendency to be insulting. Under his guidance, the West Galaxy fields exceptionally powerful warriors, with Pikkon standing out as his most formidable fighter, alongside Tapkar and Maraikoh. West Kai instructed Pikkon in the Thunder Flash Attack, later complaining about the difficulty of teaching the younger generation, noting that they rely too heavily on explosions and ignoring his warnings to keep their distance when using the technique. During the Kid Buu Saga, North Kai reminds West Kai of his past encounter with Majin Buu. Initially failing to recognize the entity and wondering if it was merely training or attempting to kill them, West Kai eventually realizes the truth. He then teases Pikkon by pointing out that Buu is far stronger than he is, a revelation that deeply upsets his champion.
