Kou Taiki, born on May 30 with AB blood type, is a member of the Literary Club who enjoys poetry and sushi, with Literature being his favorite class. He is portrayed as the most intellectual of the Starlights, possessing abilities that rival those of Ami Mizuno, although he dismisses her romantic ideals as foolish. Despite this skepticism, Ami’s encouragement to find value in dreaming does begin to influence him. During a battle against a phage, Taiki distinguishes himself as the first Starlight to permit Sailor Moon to heal the creature rather than destroying it. He shares Yaten’s concern that Seiya should remain distant from Usagi now that her identity as Sailor Moon is known, even though he, like Princess Kakyuu and the Guardian Senshi, wishes for the group to cooperate. In the anime adaptation, he is occasionally depicted wearing glasses.
