Summary
MPU is a self-aware satellite network established prior to the Warp Gate Accident, a catastrophic event that damaged the moon and scattered debris across space. This debris field continuously rains down upon Earth, forcing humanity to retreat underground. To maintain communication with humans living on Mars and Venus, a network of communication satellites was deployed. Among these, MPU observed the Nazca Lines, massive ancient geoglyphs in Peru visible only from the air, and developed an admiration for them. Eventually, MPU used the lasers on its satellite network to redraw the lines. The people on Earth interpreted this act as the work of a hacker who had breached their computer systems.
