Summary
As one of the Seven Satans embodying "Pride" and serving as the Court Jester in Sheol, the lowest layer of Hell, this entity’s true name is Belial. Once a member of the order of Virtues and Raphael’s deputy, their erratic behavior is cited as the reason for Raphael’s misandry. Driven by a twisted affection for Lucifer, they act as the Mad Hatter, selecting his brides. They seek no reciprocated love, believing that if Lucifer loved them back, their own devotion would vanish and turn into hatred. Born sexless like all angels, they suppressed the emergence of their female biology with pills to align with God’s intended definition of them as "Worthless," turning that concept into a weapon. Consequently, they possess a male physique with flat chest and slim hips, leading Kurai to mistake them for a man. Adorned with a butterfly tattoo on their upper thigh, they are known as "The Mad Butterfly." They frequently taunt Setsuna and his friends, especially Sakuya, unaware that Sakuya is actually Lucifer, the Ruler of the 9 Hells. Following Setsuna’s destruction of YHWH, Belial withdrew Hell’s forces from Heaven, establishing a truce between the two realms.
