Summary
Alexander Barthauser served as an admiral within the Reuenthal Fleet. He commanded a relatively small force of 2,400 ships, which Fleet Admiral Oskar von Reuenthal deployed strategically whenever a limited unit could potentially alter the outcome of a conflict. Barthauser saw combat during both the Battle of the Corridor and the Second Battle of Rantemario in 800 UC. On December 7, 800 UC, following the Second Battle of Rantemario, the Reuenthal Fleet was suddenly attacked by the Grillparzer Fleet, which had previously been considered an ally. In the aftermath of the initial salvo, communications with Barthauser’s headquarters were lost when the Tristan failed to raise them.
