Summary
Shima is a woman whom Miroku had promised to marry two years prior, back when she was a frail and sickly young girl. She is now compelled to become the bride of Nushi. Upon learning her story, Sango is furious at Miroku for disgracing Shima, but Shima later confesses to Sango that she lied about sleeping with Miroku specifically to escape being pursued by Nushi as a virgin bride. Shima expressed her hope that Miroku and Sango would be a perfect match.
