Summary
Jibril is a 6407-year-old Flügel and stands as the youngest and most powerful member of her race. Her passion for knowledge predates the Ten Oaths. Disagreeing with the book-sharing mandate enforced by the Council of Eighteen Wings, she departed her homeland of Avant Heim to seize control of the National Library of Elchea from its former ruler through a game. After Sora learned of the library's situation, he issued a challenge to acquire information about other kingdoms. Having wagered all her possessions, including her own freedom, Jibril lost the match and became the servant of Sora and Shiro, asserting that knowledge was worth more than her life. Despite her defeat, she retained ownership and maintenance duties for the library, though she was required to share it with the rest of the Imanity population. Over time, Jibril accepted Sora’s faith in human potential and came to view the siblings as her masters. Azriel revealed that Artosh bestowed upon Jibril the gift of imperfection, a trait intended to help her discover the reason for the Flügel’s continued existence in the event of his disappearance, which indeed occurred.
