Summary
Yoichi Isagi serves as the central protagonist of the Blue Lock series, selected as one of the 300 strikers participating in the Blue Lock Project. Originally a second-year player at Ichinan High School, he holds the rank of #299 within the program. He idolizes Noel Noa and dreams of becoming a great hero like him. Isagi possesses exceptional spatial awareness, adaptability, and the ability to enter a Flow State, alongside his signature Meta Vision and Direct Shot techniques. His personality balances teamwork with the selfishness required of a true striker, allowing him to remain calm under intense pressure. His journey begins with a regrettable high school match where, despite being in a breakaway position against the goalkeeper, he passed to a teammate who missed the shot, causing his team to fail in qualifying for the Interhigh tournament. Haunted by this decision, he accepts an invitation to the Blue Lock Project, an experience destined to fundamentally alter his life.
