Summary
Len is a Succubus Demon Familiar possessing the power to manipulate dreams, created by infusing the soul of a deceased human girl into the body of a cat. This unique origin allows her to shift between the forms of a black cat and a prepubescent human girl. Several centuries ago, she served a Magus, but after his death, she came under the care of Arcueid Brunestud. However, because Arcueid is not human, they could not establish a contract, meaning Len is not officially considered Arcueid’s Familiar. Her name’s translation has been scrutinized for a long time, with the correct romanization of "Len" confirmed by Type-Moon following the initial error in Kagetsu Tohya, where the incorrect character "Ren" was used due to the absence of a "Le" character in the Japanese alphabet. After the events of the Kagetsu Tohya visual novel, her current contractor is Tohno (Nanaya) Shiki.
