Summary
Luc serves as the vessel for the True Wind Rune and trains under the guidance of Leknaat. Hailing from Harmonia, he was involved in a significant incident at the One Temple approximately a decade prior to the Dunan Unification War. Acting on Leknaat’s orders, Luc participated in both the Gate Rune Wars and the subsequent Unification War, though he fought with visible reluctance. His demeanor shifted dramatically when he faced Sasarai, a High Priest of Harmonia; displaying rare enthusiasm, he forced the Harmonian troops to retreat. Following the Unification War, Luc grew distressed by the future visions granted by the True Rune, particularly his role as its vessel. He feared that the world would achieve a lifeless state of perfect balance, or Dharma. Determined to alter this fate, he sought to destroy his own True Rune. To achieve this, he recruited the renowned strategist Albert Silverberg, who assisted in securing the aid of Yuber the Black Knight, and Sarah, a powerful magician Luc had previously rescued from the Circle Palace in Crystal Valley. Albert explained that destroying the True Rune required controlling the other elemental runes. Operating as a masked bishop in Harmonia with the assistance of Hikusaak, Luc initiated his plan by spreading rumors of an active Fire Bringer in the Grasslands. He further destabilized the region by having Sarah, disguised as Chris Lightfellow of the Zexen Knights, attack the Lizard Clan. The death of Chief Zepon provoked the Lizard Clan into ambushing the Zexen Knights, sparking an all-out war. This conflict allowed Luc to capture the bearers of the True Fire, Water, Earth, and Lightning Runes, and he successfully stole the runes using a technique learned in Harmonia. However, his scheme was thwarted by the Fire Bringer, led by the Flame Champion, at the Ceremonial Site. Realizing the futility of his actions, Luc reconciled with his mentor Leknaat, despite having betrayed him. It was too late to undo his fate, however. Luc and Sarah perished together, and Luc’s soul was lost to the void, finally at rest.
