Akitsuki, Yamato
Summary
Yamato Akitsuki serves as the central protagonist of the narrative. Seeking a fresh start and a chance to reinvent himself, he relocates from his hometown in rural Hiroshima to an aunt’s dormitory in Tokyo. During his exploration of his new high school, he encounters a beautiful girl practicing high jump and immediately falls in love at first sight. In a fortunate turn of events, she is revealed to be his next-door neighbor, Suzuka Asahina. Characterized by a clumsy and carefree demeanor, Yamato frequently finds himself in compromising situations, though he is capable of displaying intense focus and determination when necessary. He remains notably oblivious to the nuances of girls and their emotions. Despite not excelling academically, he uncovers a natural aptitude for sprinting, which leads him to join the school’s track and field team.
