Summary

Chouza Akimichi is the head of the Akimichi clan and the father of Chouji. He is best known for his role as the Chou component of the original Ino-Shika-Chou trio, alongside his former teammates Shikaku Nara and Inoichi Yamanaka. During the Nine-Tails' Attack on Konoha, Chouza fought alongside these comrades to help defend the village. Years later, he noticed that his son was being ostracized due to his weight and the mistaken belief that members of the Akimichi clan were useless ninja. Chouza reassured Chouji, telling him that he would eventually find true friends who could see past those misconceptions and recognize his genuine worth. Personality-wise, Chouza is a gentle and caring man who possesses a deep love for his son and appears to have great wisdom and understanding of the world. Like the rest of his clan, he has a massive appetite and is prone to ordering entire pages from a menu. In combat, Chouza utilizes the Akimichi clan’s special technique, which converts calories into chakra. As the clan leader, he is skilled in all their secret arts, specifically demonstrating proficiency with the Multi-Size Technique, the Human Bullet Tank, and the Partial Multi-Size Technique. These abilities allow him to enlarge various parts of his body, a power that also extends to his weapon, causing his staff to grow in size when he activates the Multi-Size Technique.
