Summary
Very little is revealed about Rei, who is identified primarily as a member of Group Five and a classmate within Group One. He is characterized as the class narcissist, often seen admiring his own reflection and striking cute poses at himself when Satoru conjures a mirror for him during class. Rei and Satoru share a brief romantic relationship, with Rei having harbored feelings for Satoru for some time. However, he remained passive due to the presence of Shun, only pursuing the relationship after Satoru and Shun ended their own. To Satoru, Rei ultimately serves merely as a replacement for Shun.
