Summary
Rush is a robotic dog companion belonging to Mega Man, making his debut in Mega Man 3 and appearing in numerous titles since. Originally created by Dr. Light and Dr. Wily to serve as an all-around support unit, Rush possesses the ability to transform into various specialized forms. His Rush Marine configuration turns him into a compact, single-person submarine, while the Rush Jet modification converts his legs into jet engines, granting Mega Man the ability to fly. He also features the Rush Coil, a spring that extends from his back to help Mega Man reach higher platforms that are otherwise inaccessible. In other games, Rush transforms into a motorcycle and a drill car, and serves as a spaceship in the fourth and fifth Gameboy entries. In later installments, the Rush Adaptor allows Rush to attach directly to Mega Man, enabling floating, the firing of more powerful blasts, and the launching of Mega Man's arms as projectiles.
