Summary
Yosshi Miyoshi is a forty-five-year-old real estate agent and karate instructor who serves as the father of Kaya Miyoshi. Physically, he is a chubby man with a goatee and hair that resembles a baby’s hat. During his school years, specifically in the first, second, fifth, and sixth grades, as well as most of junior high and high school, he attended classes with Nobuhiro, the uncle of Moritaka. The two were best friends and shared a mutual crush on Miyuki, Miho’s mother, which led to them being somewhat rivals in their pursuit of her affection. When Akito met with Kaya and her parents to discuss their impending marriage, Yosshi brought up the topic of Nobuhiro’s death without explicitly naming him. Through this conversation, he realized that Akito and Moritaka knew the same person, identifying Moritaka as Akito’s partner. Yosshi then invited Moritaka to join them at a restaurant, where he recounted his history with Nobuhiro and Miyuki. Ultimately, he decided to support both men in their dreams and gave his blessing for Akito to marry Kaya, even offering to help secure an apartment for the couple.
