Summary

Subaru Natsuki, a seventeen-year-old boy with an April 1 birthday, stands at 173 cm tall. His ordinary life is abruptly interrupted when he is summoned to a fantasy world while returning home from a convenience store. In this new realm, he possesses a unique ability known as Return by Death, which allows him to rewind time to a specific checkpoint upon his demise, retaining all memories while the rest of the world resets. Although he was previously a hikikomori and avid gamer in his previous life, he maintains a baseline of physical fitness and understands basic hand-to-hand combat, ensuring he is not entirely helpless. Despite his tendency to misread social cues and situations, Subaru is deeply loyal to those he cherishes, often choosing the most difficult path to assist them. His initial optimism about the possibilities of being transported to another world quickly gives way to the harsh realities of his predicament. Through numerous trials, his resolve is forged, transforming him from someone who previously sought the easy way out into a determined individual who is steadfast and protective of his nakama.
