Kotobuki, Tsumugi

Summary

Often called Mugi, Kotobuki Tsumugi is a gentle and sweet wealthy girl who plays the Korg Triton Extreme 76-key keyboard and occasionally the Korg RK-100 keytar. A piano prodigy who began playing at age four and won various contests, she initially planned to join the choir club but instead joined the Light Music Club after Mio and Ritsu invited her. She has long, pale blonde hair, blue eyes, unusually large eyebrows that run in her family, and a fair complexion that does not sunburn. As the daughter of a company president, she lives in a stately mansion with a butler and owns several villas, including one in Finland. Her father also owns a maid café, so she frequently brings sweets and pastries to the club room and serves tea. Despite her riches, she enjoys normal activities like ordering fast food, sharing fries, working part-time jobs, and haggling. She occasionally shows a rebellious streak and possesses surprising physical strength, capable of carrying heavy equipment and winning arcade arm-wrestling games. Tsumugi can become entranced by close interactions between girls and has a crush on their teacher, Sawako Yamanaka. She is conscious of her weight and gets anxious when staff spoil her friends. She later learns guitar from Azusa. Her childhood friend, Sumire Saitō, is younger and works for the Kotobuki family. Tsumugi was homeschooled and relied on Sumire to buy manga, including yuri titles that influenced her views on relationships. When Sumire started high school, Tsumugi encouraged her to join the club by having her pick up tea sets, allowing her to stay even after joining.
