Jay Jay
Summary
JJ is an American martial artist who visits Japan, first appearing in Chapter 56 of the manga and Season 2, Episode 2 of the anime. He is a quiet and thoughtful individual who typically lingers at the back of the room, speaking little. During the initial gathering, he silently follows the priest’s prayers, remaining passive until Kato demonstrates the suit's strength by lifting two people. At that point, JJ challenges Kato to test the suit's durability. He arrives without a suit and did not bring one, despite the potential need. Later, when the large statues at the temple’s entrance come to life and pursue the group, JJ runs along with the others. As human-sized aliens begin to appear, he engages them using his martial arts skills, taking down several opponents independently. When Kato divides the group, JJ joins Hojo’s team. Finally, as most of the group retreats into the last building to face the remaining aliens, JJ follows them inside.
