Anotsu, Kagehisa
Summary
As the head of the Itto-ryu and an equal to Manji, Anotsu, Kagehisa is a young man with an emotionally cold demeanor who possesses prodigious swordsmanship. He directs the dojo not through traditional forms or rules, but via a simple test of superior lethality. Raised by his abusive grandfather, a swordsman disgraced by the Asano dojo which is the home of Rin’s family, Anotsu proves to be both pragmatic and shrewd, dispelling the notion that he is entirely inhuman by sparing Rin’s life after she attacks him. He wields two weapons: his primary armament is a Nepalese-based axe called Kabutsuchi, also known as the Head Hammer, while he also carries a sword of the same name that he rarely uses.
