Summary

Diancie is a diminutive, vaguely humanoid Pokémon featuring a lower body composed of a conical gray rock embedded with a large pink diamond on its side. Its upper torso is draped in a white, dress-like material from which small, mitten-shaped hands emerge, while a golden half-circlet with a central pink diamond encircles its neck. The head is gray with purple eyes that have red sclerae and pointed ears, topped by an elaborate headdress of pink crystals. This headpiece consists of four spike-like crystals at the top, long crystals hanging down on either side, and a large circular centerpiece on the forehead, with a small golden piece hanging from the center and a tiny pink diamond embedded at the back of the head. Diancie originates from a mysterious mutation and possesses the ability to instantly create diamonds by compressing atmospheric carbon. It wields these diamonds for both offense and defense, often generating a storm of projectiles. Renowned as one of the most beautiful Pokémon in existence, its shimmering pink body is considered a breathtaking sight. Diancie typically resides in diamond-filled underground caves, such as the Diamond Domain, a crystal kingdom where it rules as queen over a group of Carbink, though it has also been observed traveling or living with other Pokémon. While Carbink often gather around it, Diancie pays them little mind. It communicates via telepathy, a trait showcased in the film Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction (M17). Diancie can undergo Mega Evolution to become Mega Diancie. In this form, the white dress lengthens and loses its sleeves, while the lower body transforms into a pink crystal surrounded by long crystals resembling those on the original headdress. The dress and crystals on the back extend further, with smaller crystals suspended from the larger ones. The neck circlet curves outward, and an additional half-circlet appears around the waist. The headdress centerpiece becomes heart-shaped, and the remaining crystals shrink slightly. The side crystals gain suspended tips, and an extra crystal hangs from the back of the head, where the original diamond becomes rounded with two smaller gems at the lower corners. Ribbons grow from these gems, each holding two small crystals, and the head diamond exceeds 2,000 carats. Empowered by Mega Evolution energy, Mega Diancie’s control over diamonds allows it to forge weapons, such as swords, during combat. With impurities shed from its surface, it shines so brilliantly that direct reflection is blinding. Known as the "Royal Pink Princess" for its appearance and colors, Mega Diancie combines beauty with skill, enabling it to adapt swiftly to any situation.
