Summary
Sixteen-year-old Domon Ishijima is a classmate of Recca known for his immense physical prowess. Peers who have lost to him in combat refer to him as an Oni. Like Fūko, he harbors a desire to defeat Recca, a goal motivated by her condition that he must beat Recca before he can challenge her. Despite many failed attempts, Domon eventually helps Recca rescue a brainwashed Fūko from Kage Hōshi. Following this, he allies with Recca and the rest of the group. Domon utilizes the Dosei no Wa, a madogu that boosts his strength. He later acquires the Kuchibashi Oh, an extendable chain with a razor-sharp claw, and the Tetsugan, which temporarily turns his body into living iron. Although physically powerful and enduring even before obtaining his madogu, Domon is intellectually weak. However, he possesses strong willpower, which allowed him to resist Kurei’s attempt to erase his memories. He can be somewhat of a pervert, a trait that surprisingly aided him during his battle with Kirin. Domon is openly interested in Fūko romantically, though he is also easily attracted to other women.
