Summary
Michiko Minamoto, widely known as Mrs. Minamoto, is the gentle and affectionate mother of Shizuka. She treats Shizuka and her friends with great warmth and appears frequently throughout the series. Her role often involves interacting with Nobita, who regularly visits Shizuka’s home to borrow gadgets, invite Shizuka to his house for homework or play, or simply study together. In these instances, Mrs. Minamoto frequently claims she is out at the library, the market, or attending her piano and violin lessons. In some cases, she is depicted as being with Dekisugi.
