Summary
Alexiel, the elder of the twin angels known as the Organic Angel, holds the distinction of being one of the two highest-ranking angels in Heaven, a status symbolized by her possession of three wings. While she claims to love God above all others, a sentiment shared by the angel Uriel and the demon Lucifer, her true deepest affection lies with her twin brother, Rosiel. This bond is not incestuous in the manner of Sara and Setsuna, but it is profound enough to drive her rebellion against Adam Kadmon, from whom she was born to love God. To protect Rosiel from execution, Alexiel was forced to conceal her feelings under the threat that any declaration of love would result in her brother's death. As punishment, she was confined to Briah, also known as the Angel's Garden or Eden, and compelled to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life. This act proved damning, as the tree grows from a part of Adam Kadmon’s body, meaning she was technically consuming the flesh of another angel. It was within Eden that Alexiel first encountered Lucifer. Although God had revealed his plan to Lucifer that he would instigate a war against Heaven and become evil, Lucifer initially intended to corrupt and kill God’s "beloved" daughter as revenge. However, after speaking with Alexiel, he altered his plan and promised to break her out of Eden, which he subsequently did. This intervention led to the erasure of Lucifer’s memories and the imprisonment of his soul in Nanatsusaya, a vessel Alexiel would later discover and battle. When Alexiel eventually sealed Rosiel away, she faced trial by the High Council for her actions. Under the sentence of Uriel, she was forced to lie about loving God the most. Consequently, her body was imprisoned within an angel crystal, while her soul was condemned to endless reincarnation into human lives, each one destined to be miserable and end in a painful death.
