Summary
Saya is a kunoichi from Sunagakure who serves as a teammate to Sana and Mamushi, making her anime debut in Naruto Shipuuden Episode #398. She is characterized by an arrogant and sadistic nature, taking pleasure in hunting new prey, a trait that extends to her own teammates should they displease her. Her domineering personality compels her allies to address her as "Lady" (Ojou-sama) and obey her commands without question. Possessing a severe superiority complex, Saya believes she is inherently better than her enemies and refuses to accept the possibility of defeat; if this belief is challenged, she descends into a hysterical state driven by a need to make the challenger pay. She also displays an intense attachment to her ninja-puppet and anything she finds cute, even going so far as to masquerade as her doll for prolonged periods. In combat, Saya employs a unique variation of the Puppet Technique. Her puppet is a small, simple doll that she controls via Chakra Threads, but her strategy differs from traditional puppeteers. Instead of using the doll to attack directly, she uses it to collect a sample of an enemy's hair. This sample allows her to utilize the Puppet Imitation Technique, linking her mind to the target and remotely controlling them in a manner similar to the Yamanaka clan's secret techniques. Beyond puppetry, she can travel through the ground and construct sand dolls from existing sand. Like Kankurou, Saya is also capable of using the Body Replacement Technique to switch places with her puppet. She participated in the joint Chuunin Exams alongside her team.
