Summary
Souichi Miyamoto serves as the captain of the track team following Kinugasu’s graduation and is a junior high school classmate of Suzuka. He actively recruits Yamato after learning of his physical test results, later analyzing data to create a training regimen that addresses Yamato’s tendency to reach top speed too early. Believing Yamato possesses the potential to exceed Kazuki’s abilities, Miyamoto selects him as the next team captain before graduating. Now a member of Touto University’s track team, he played a key role in securing Yamato’s recommendation, maintaining his desire for Yamato to perform at his highest level despite the latter’s choice to attend Seijo.
