Introduced to the Hetalia cast in 2010, the nation of New Zealand, also known by its name Aotearoa, is a character of ambiguous gender and unknown age or height. It is depicted with blonde hair featuring curly ahoge on both sides that resemble sheep horns, along with thick eyebrows similar to England’s. As the capital is Wellington and the official languages include English, Māori, and New Zealand Sign Language, the character represents these cultural elements. Its national flower is the Kowhai. Currently, little is known about this character, except that it keeps a pet sheep and a pet kiwi bird named Kiwi-san.
